Found a few threads from past years, but nothing for this year's application.

I'm just curious how long peoples' personal statements are. The word limit is 1000, but it's getting difficult to reach that limit...

I'm not even gonna try to hit that.

Not reaching the limit is fine. The whole point is that you don't go over it.

This is, supposedly, the week. Any news?

I haven't heard anything but looking at earlier years' threads it looks like "early November" often extends past November 15. So we've got time.

I applied for SG and Civil. Email did not mention either but I assume it's both.

Still nothing here... I hope a response comes soon. It would be really nice to know one way or another.

Are they sending out responses based on when they received application materials? Sorry for asking, but when did you submit your materials, anon?

This is rejected anon. My app was postmarked the last day. It is weird that I was apparently the only person in the world rejected, but I guess they wanted to clear some deadwood before making final decisions on who to interview.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm the anon who said that she hadn't heard back above, and it might be that they reviewed the SG apps first, or that the Civil division is more on top of things. I applied for the Public Rights division.

Please don't take it like this. Hiring is often a crapshoot because it's hard to distinguish who would be a good candidate. Also, depending on who's assigned to the hiring, that person might care more about things like school ranking when someone else might care more about relevant experience.

Just keep hustling and something will come along.

That's awesome, dude. Congrats! And you know, if you really want to work for CAAG, they do have openings for attorneys from time to time.

Has anyone received an interview offer yet? I still haven't heard anything, nor heard of anyone actually getting a response asking for an interview.

What a bizarre hiring process.

Got email requesting an interview today.

I applied right before the deadline, in the Public Rights division. The email didn't specify whether I was interviewing with a particular division.

Anyone else hear anything? Wondering if it would be make sense to check in and express continued interest in the program.

I also got interview offer the same day as other Anon.

From what I could tell from the emails I got, it sounded as if they are doing one day of interviews on Dec. 20th. I'm not sure if they'll be doing more rounds of interviews later on after the holidays.

I guess I should drastically readjust my expectations at this point, since I haven't heard a word from them since I submitted my materials

I was rejected from normal honors and invited to interview for SG. Also on 12/20.
