How Are Offer Acceptances 'Confirmed'?

I recently accepted a position with a firm via email, and got congratulatory emails in response. Is there any official documentation that firms send after you accept to confirm your spot in the class? I have to let my other offers know that I will not be accepting but wasn't sure if I need to wait for things to become officially official (if that even makes sense).

I called recruiting to accept and she told me to sign the offer letter sent in the mail and scan it to her. idk if that's standard for your firm, but it's easy to pick up the phone and ask recruiting about it.

Also, congrats on the offer! :)

I don't recall getting any confirmation either my 1L or 2L summer.

I just sent an email and they said they'd be in touch in Jan.

I asked for an email confirmation that I accepted their offer.
