I'm very confused by your post, but stop lying to interviewers and just tell them you want to get paid more.

You 100% need to tell these interviewers you are currently working. They will need to do a conflicts check before they hire you, and would you just lie and say you hadn't worked on anything anywhere?

While it shouldn't be your only sales pitch, I think "you guys pay twice as much" is a fair reason to give in an interview for wanting to lateral.

Over the past two weeks, this anon has started several threads on the same topic. He makes $75K/yr, and he's laboring under the mistaken impression that market pay for a first-year associate in small and midsize firms is twice that much.
