Lateralling to NYC

Hi all,

I'm a 2015 grad with 1+ year of work experience as local prosecutor in a decent market (CHI/MIA/LA). I am hoping to lateral to NYC (sat for NY bar this past July). I'm pretty open as to the kind of job but I am mostly interested in civil litigation or corporate work. Some info about me if needed: top 20% at T1 flagship state school, law review (editor), lot of jury trials.

What is the best way to go about it? Assuming I pass the bar, I was going to start a mass mailing campaign and networking with alum. Is it worth considering headhunters? At this stage, is any place even going to consider a candidate like me? Any advice would be appreciated.

I apologize if this has been discussed in detail but nothing helpful came up the forum search.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I am also applying to District Attorney of New York (Manhattan) but that seems like a straight-forward streamlined process that seems unlikely.
