Hi everyone. Wanted to here your thoughts on Foley Lardner firm reputation, practice areas, etc. anyone have any insight?

It depends on which office. Each office tends to have its own culture. Overall, the firm has a very strong reputation midwest, and is undeniably the best law firm in Wisconsin. The firm also has a strong health care practice and Intellectual property.

How would you say the reputation is on the east coast offices?

The Boston office is known mainly for its health care practice, but it also has solid IP and lit groups. There's a corporate group that does mostly PE and VC as well, but the Boston office isn't particularly known for it. I'm not familiar with any of the other east coast offices.

I'd challenge this one; I've inherited a lot of files from/done analysis of other files managed by Foley attorneys, and they've mostly been in pretty bad shape for one reason or another. My experience is anecdotal, so take it with a grain of salt, BUT I think there are a lot of better firms to go to for IP on the east coast (or even just in Boston).

I've heard rather positive things regarding their healthcare and VC+EC practices. Not sure about IP

Their biggest IP office is in DC actually not in boston.

Anyone hear back from them fro CHI office?
