Hi all, thought I would start this thread. Feel free to post when you had your CB and when you received notification of your decision.

CB early last week. Never notified. Is this a ding and should I wipe my tears and move on?

Not a great sign but it's possible you are on a WL of sorts.

Have they actually sent out dings?

Yes - got dinged via email on 8/9.

How long did it take between your CB and receiving your ding?

From the looks of it there are probably many of us who haven't been notified, meaning we are more of a "not yet dinged but soon" pile rather than a true WL that stands a chance.

Pre-OCI CB, Offer next day around ~5:30. From what I understood (talked to an interviewer again @ a second look) they tend to meet the next day about the person, usually in the morning/mid afternoon.

Any Monday Aug 15 hear back yet?

CB last wednesday (8/10), offer today (8/16)

Hiring committee meets once a week. Less frequently before OCIs start.

I know of an NYC CB on 8/8 & email ding 8/12.

Yes--callback Mon, offer phone call yesterday around 4:30.

Do you get compared against applicants from your school or against the general pool? I had a monday callback but I was one of the first from my school cause we just finished OCI.

Probably a little of both - but I believe moreso against the general pool within reason. At the extremes, DPW can't have 75 offers out to NYU students because school diversity matters, but it tends to work itself out and there's certainly no hard cap or floor for any school.

Does anyone from early last week still not have any notification?

yes i interviewed monday last week and havent heard anything
