How bad is it to reschedule a call-back

Had an interview set in New York (fly in), but one from NJ came in. Hope to make it one trip. But has to move the schedule a bit (still same day) to make it work. I know firms typically will have specific time blocks for interviews. Does it hurt to do tweaks like this?

Alternatively, I can stay in NY/NJ area for one more day, but that will cause me to have to reschedule a later interview in the city where I am -- how bad is that?

Ehh, I guess it's a good problem to have, but still a problem. Suggestions please.

You should attempt to reschedule the interview at whichever firm you're least interested in. It happens frequently. Just be straightforward about it.

If it's something like you just need to skip the lunch at the morning interview, that should be fine - firms are generally used to the idea that people will try to do two callbacks in one day, especially if they're from out of town, and should be accommodating.

Won't matter at all and none of the attorneys will even know you rescheduled. There are generally time slots all day so they will think you just chose a later one.

Especially if it's a market you have to travel to, I don't think it's a big deal. I booked a callback in a different market and then heard from another firm in that market that really wanted to do my callback on the same day. I called the recruiter at the first firm, asked if I could switch my callback to a day earlier, and at least from what I could tell from our 30 second conversation, the recruiter couldn't have cared less. Firms understand that you're trying to fit multiple callbacks into one trip and that sometimes you have to move things around to make the puzzle fit.
