Callback Statistics

Quick question - as a Google search has not helped.

Is there a website / source to view what percentage of callbacks become offers, firm by firm? I know some schools have this, but mine does not and I would be very curious.

This has been helpful for me.

Take it with a very strong grain of salt. It's for 2013. It's also for Columbia, the school that constantly places the highest percentage of its graduates in Big Law. Its results will not necessarily be indicative for other schools. However, it does show some useful trends.

I honestly know nothing about the DC market/International Trade so I have no idea. That data is from 2013, so maybe things are better now (slightly). If you're at a T14 with top grades that's all you can really control tbh besides maybe having some DC ties.(so I wouldn't stress myself out)

Lol @ SullCrom's accepted callback-to-offer ratio. Can you get any more transparent?

S&C had a 16/19 record at Penn last year.

@OP I don't really want to link Penn's entire spreadsheet because it has a lot of other details/names but if you have some specific firms in mind I will give you the numbers for them.

Also not OP but would love any info on major DC offices: Arnold & Porter, Williams & Connolly, Hogan, Wilmer, Covington.

I'd be happy to give out stats on CA firms and CB/Offer rate if anyone is interested. I don't want to post the whole spreadsheet our school has. Just request firms and I'll post here.

Edit* I should say that I'm a better resource for LA/OC firms and their CB/Offer rate.

Do mid-sized law firms or firms in secondary markets tend to have lower cb to offer ratios?

At my T14:

Orrick SF: 20 screeners; 13 callback invites; 11 callback acceptances; 4 offers.
Skadden SV: 40; 22; 18; 11.

Gibson, MoFo and Cooley (all SF)?

MoFo: 40 interviews; 24 CB invites; 19 CBs; 12 offers.
Unfortunately don't have specific info for Gibson, Cooley or Baker in SF--just the firm in general.

You might want to find stat for your school only because the ratio may be quite different from school to school for the same firm.

Anon from above. Sorry, but Baker's info actually wasn't provided (thought I saw it when I looked earlier). Just the number of interview slots was provided; no further info.

Penn's numbers are of course not necessarily accurate for other schools etc.

For DC:
A&P: 1 for 3
W&C: 2 for 5
Hogan: 3 for 4
Wilmer: 2 for 5
Covington: 8 for 15

Kirkland NY was 4 for 9

By any chance do you have Penn's Skadden stats for Asia and NY/Boston/DC?

Thanks!
