Is there a way to get interview feedbacks from firms that dinged you?

I think if there's one way to find out what/how you are doing it wrong, it would be to ask the people who dinged you directly to get feedback. I know this is obviously weird and awkward, but is there a tactful way to get some feedback to know what you did wrong to improve for future interviews? I have had 5 interviews so far with firms varying from small to V100 and got no offer. I am worried this trend is going to continue. I am outgoing and generally not a douchebag. I am not delusional in saying this as I can self assess my personality and likability, but this roadblock to offer is really worrying me.

No. There really isn't a good way to do this. This is especially true in the formalized OCI process - these folks are interviewing all day...they won't remember you, and the reason you didn't get a call back is because 1) they didn't like you, 2) they didn't like you as much as someone else and 3) your grades/credentials werent good enough.

If you interview at a small firm outside of a formal recruiting process, maybe (but i still wouldn't) go ahead and send them an email asking what you did wrong. I am not advising this approach and do not think its a good idea. This is what career services is for. Do a mock interview.

Yeah I figured it's pretty much one of the three reasons you mentioned above. I mean, it's not like they forgot to make an offer to me.

Ok thanks everyone. I will do mock interviews with alums instead.

I got pretty good feedback from a v100 after a post-callback rejection. I emailed the partner I felt I connected the best with. I figured I had nothing to lose.

You can ask your OCS to ask for you. They do this pretty frequently at CLS.

Do you mind sharing what the partner said?
