OCI at CCN:

Bidding mostly Southern California (SD, L.A.) and for my resume so far I put the address of the close family member I stayed with during this summer (for my 1L summer job in SD).

However, now that I'm back at law school, what should I put my address as? My resume does not show many California connections otherwise so I figure this might marginally help.

Also, my wife lives in L.A. so I have the option of putting her address as well if it is a good idea.

Should I prefer the SD address that I put so far, switch to my wife's address in L.A., or put my law school address?

Thoughts are appreciated.

Wife's address imo. It's technically yours too

Grew up in the secondary I SA'ed at this summer, but not a single thing on my resume would even hint at being from here. During OCI, for this market I put both my law school address and my parents home address (a place I hadn't lived for 4+ years). Worked out well.

I'd probably play it safe and put your wife's LA address on there (this is 100% OK), but I don't think you'd have a huge problem putting that SD address on there. There's a small chance this could be a issue if a background check wouldn't have that as a former address (my home would), but that would be post-offer and something you could probably explain away.

I'd list both wife's address (as "permanent address") and local address (as "current address").

There's nothing wrong with this but it's unnecessary. Just wife's is fine

But isn't a San Diego address much more helpful when interviewing with San Diego?

I'm guessing an LA firm would care less about a San Diego address than a San Diego firm would care about an LA address.
