Multiple Pre-OCI Callbacks - All Ding - What Am I Doing Wrong?

Below median from lower-T14 (DCNG), 3 years of WE in corporate sector (generic F500 gig) here. Fortunate enough to get 4 callbacks in various markets (DC & Cali) from MM. Interviewed since late-July. Heard nothing back, which I believe means dings.

What am I doing wrong? I generally tried to approach callbacks the same as screeners. Don't think I'm a terrible interviewer since I was able to secure callbacks in the first place. Focused on having a pleasant conversation with each interviewer. Is this the wrong strategy at the callback stage? More focus on "why this firm/practice area" and selling myself? Grades?

Thanks for any input!

This doesn't necessarily mean a ding. I was in a similar position in a secondary market and got offers from some of my pre-OCI callbacks way after I got offers from my post-OCI callbacks. Given that you are below median, these firms are likely interested in you but only have so many offers to give to people in your GPA range and want to see what else your school has to offer. If a firm doesn't want you, they will let you know asap. I would expect you would hear back within a week or two of OCI. DC and Cali (assuming LA or SF) move fast enough that they will know.

That said, you should be selling yourself (especially if you are below median without an offer yet) while having a pleasant conversation.
