So is the consensus that there are already CBs and possibly offers from OCI screeners and that the rest of us who haven't heard back are just silent dinged?

Re: How does Quinn's 3L OCI work?
This idea of Quinn as a highly selective firm even at top schools is totally foreign to my experience. As long as you were Stone (top 35-40% 1L grades) you were in offer territory at Columbia if you were a personality match. This aligns with the expectations for Davis Polk/Cravath/Simpson. I have a hard time believing they are more selective at Harvard or Stanford, although I do believe they might go easy on grades at T6 and recalibrate for lower T14s.hlsperson1111 wrote:Because John Quinn, Kathleen Sullivan and a plurality of the attorneys at Quinn went to Harvard.Anonymous User wrote:Why would it be easiest from Harvard, compared to Yale or Stanford?Anonymous User wrote:
Re: HYS, my impression is that it's easiest from Harvard. I don't know if they cut as much slack for S students for some reason. Also think there's a real preference for CLS/NYU over MVB. Not sure about Penn.
And how easy is easy? LR + federal clerkship isn't exactly a walk in the park.
When I did OCI at Harvard five years ago, the common wisdom was that you needed 4ish H's to get a callback. Not sure if that's changed. I'd be shocked if you needed LR (from any school, honestly) or a federal clerkship. I know a guy who went to Georgetown and had top 5% grades and no LR who got an offer there.
