for firms that ask for salary history/requirement, what's the best way to gauge their range without shortchanging myself or turning them off? i can't seem to find any salary info online on some firms.

can anyone give me some ideas as to what $ i can ask for in a Los Angeles firm of about 30 attorneys? How about 50 and 150?
