Don't worry about whether you are early or late in the game. Keep mass mailing & hustling. It's not too late to find something.

Re: Duke Law OCI 2016 (c/o 2018)
Please excuse my class-less classmate here. He/she is part of the reason why Duke students have a tough time with NC firms - local attorneys often think we're assholes from NY or Chicago. That's not true, but one tool can ruin Duke's reputation pretty quickly.
If you go 10 or 15 posts back in the thread there is a summary of what we have heard from the various NC offices. Good luck with your search! I must admit I'm jealous if you are at another NC school. You're saving money and from what I have seen with my own experience (weak GPA a little below median, strong everything else) there is little advantage in NC in going to Duke. Only people I know who had much NC success were DLJ or at least 3.5+ GPA people who would have done well anywhere they tried.

Naw im not class-less I just don't care for some other t14 student who decided not to come to Duke to come into our thread. If he/she really wanted to work in NC, should have come to Duke. But anyway, Im a tool.Anonymous User wrote:Please excuse my class-less classmate here. So far, no word on Charlotte offers. I am waiting on, or I know people waiting on: Dechert, mcguirewoods, Moore & Van Allen, Parker Poe, Winston & Strawn, and maybe a couple others that I'm forgetting.Anonymous User wrote:I would like this question answered too. I am a Duke student.

I wouldn't expect much movement until the end of next week at the earliest.

Has anyone gotten a rejection from Norton Rose Fulbright DC just from the OCI screener? Trying to figure out if they're just slow with dings or if I'm on some mythical call back waitlist

^ Yes, yes you are a tool. I'm glad you recognized it. You're anonymously complaining about an anonymous outsider joining an anonymous thread, in a forum where users would otherwise write with pseudonyms, to ask about an issue that's stressful for a lot of people. I accepted an offer and now have some slight buyers remorse as I see people going off on second looks. You should do it, if only for moar free dinners/drinks.Anonymous User wrote:Narrowed it down to 2 then did a 2nd look.
