Outside of IP, do they ask? Just wondering if I should pick up some.

I interviewed at a few IP boutiques that asked. Outside of that... not normal I don't think.

Cravath is the main one that I'm aware of.

I think Irell might have? There was a couple that wanted them at OCI. Many more had them as part of online applications when mass mailing.

I had one firm ask for an undergrad transcript at OCI, I forget which one, but it wasn't for IP. You should definitely bring a copy with you.

If you're worried about being prepared, it's unique enough an ask that they'll give you notice.
If you're worried about wasting bids during OCI because you're a splitter with uncompetitive UG grades - don't. It's so rare that it won't matter to the point where you'll be significantly disadvantaged by "wasting" bids.

If your UG degree is patent bar eligible don't be surprised if they ask even if you don't apply for IP.

Cravath asks for your undergrad transcripts. That's the only major law firm I know of that does that

Does Cravath actually care about your UG grade? If so, I'm taking them off of my bidlist.

Do you have a STEM background? I have BSEE and I wonder that how many IP boutiques(for prosecution) actually do require UG transcripts.

I received a Cravath offer with an "F" on my UG transcript that came coupled with a sub-3.4 cumulative UGPA from a shitty state school. Requesting your transcript seems to be a mere formality, although the partner interviewing you at OCI could have different thoughts. It probably depends on the interviewer. I remember freaking out about this last year and reading stories on TLS about people interviewing with partners who cared. Mine didn't. At all.
They definitely don't have your UG grades--or any of your grades--in front of them during CBs though.
