I know rules are rules, but it just doesn't seem right that DC hero Hogan Lovells gets a for not matching in Florida while Covington's ignominy is wiped off the OP. Never forget June 8, 2016, Day of Infamy.

Looks like these fall into a few different categories. Wilmer and Goodwin will presumably move now that Ropes moved, which in turn should get A&P moving. King & Spalding is in a tough place since it's an Atl firm and first-year market there is still 135-145. K&L and Morgan Lewis might have to think twice about their finances. Thoughts on the others?

I can answer my own question...yes.

Goodwin Procter just matched, all US offices.

Just for reference, those of you at lingering v50 firms...

38/50 v50 firms have matched
42/60 v60 have matched

Someone else could go past 60 if they feel like looking at it, but those numbers as you move up the list start to justify those firms not matching...yet.

Agreed the sad faces seem a lil bit overboard... can u really fault a firm for not going to 180 in markets where standard pay is like 125?

i would say a substantial portion would that want to compete in major markets will match by OCI. If you're a firm that typically pulls a majority of your class from T14, you'll feel some heavy pressure to match by OCI. On top of that, if your PPP are north of 1.1-1.2m and have a low leverage (1-1.5) i think there is a very weak argument against doing it, absent insider information none of us are privy to.

According to that one google doc someone made that tracked the move to 160k back in 2007, looks like most firms raised salary by September 2007 (the first move was made January 2007).
