in-house to big law in SoCal market?

Asking about the feasibility of transitioning to big law after two years in-house and any feedback on firms to target. About a year out from my ideal transition time so want to plan.
Here are the details:
- got a "can't miss" opportunity to work in-house after 6 months at V20 firm in secondary-ish market (Atlanta/Texas/Chicago range)
- HYS grad
- in-house gig is for a very high profile brand with a tiny legal team and I do mostly transactional work, but handle a wide variety of legal issues
- ready to move to southern CA to be with my fiancee (her job is based there) and go back to big law to get more technical training (ultimately want to be a GC of a large company)
- targeting LA (specifically Santa Monica)
- want to do transactional work (have some securities experience - that's what I did at the firm)
- I'm only 27 and two years out of law school so would be okay with going in as a second year, or even a first year with second year pay (as if I had a clerkship, for instance).
Appreciate any advice. Can't give a ton of detail about my job because it's in a small market but happy to answer general in-house questions if that would be helpful to anyone.
