this the 3rd iteration of your "should i take this DA job" thread
to answer your question
2 at DA because at least then you have substantive experience doing something and make more meaningful connections

Based on OP's first post ever on this site, he already is an ada and is looking for exit options.

I guess it would. So would going out, committing a crime, and going through the criminal process as a criminal defendant...that would surely give you a diverse experience, but that doesn't mean it's a good way to further your career. It scares me to think that you currently pursue justice for the victims of crimes.

you gain some diversity but lose depth
By 1.5 years you would probably start doing felonies in a lot of jurisdictions, but if you you do one year at a PD and one year at a DA then you'll probably just do misdos at both places.

What PD office would hire you, a (then) former ADA with 1 year of experience, blinded by some mystique of undefined "prestige".
