Working Full-time during summer

Hello everyone! I am a bit freaking out now. I found a good job for summer as part of work study (38 hours per week). I'm also enrolled into 4 units this summer. I keep reading ABA rules and everything seems to be in my favor working full time, but Financial Aid office just told me that I cannot work more than 20 hours even during summer! They say that doesn't matter in how many units I am enrolled during summer, I am still a Full Time student. ABA rules say the opposite... Am I in the wrong here?

Your school may have its own rules. It is not an ABA rule. There was an old ABA rule that you couldn't work more than 20 hours but that was repealed in 2014. In any event, that old rule only barred working more than 20 hours if you were taking more than 12 credits. You might ask if the school still thinks it's required by an ABA rule or if it's the school's own rule.

Thank you. I went and talked to the dean, they waived 20 hour limit. Whew, what a relief!
