Summer Clerkship - Did I fuck up?

Rising 3L at a shittily-ranked regional school. So on to my question: I was fortunate enough to intern with a pretty powerhouse regional firm last summer. They were not doing a clerkship program, but I threw myself at one of the partners and was offered a 6 week unpaid position. At the end of my internship, I talked to the hiring partner about my interest in coming back to work this summer with them. He was very positive, and a couple of months later, I was officially offered a (paid this time) 5 week clerkship this summer. Now. On to what I cannot stop freaking out about.
I was offered a clerkship at another firm a month or so later and there were scheduling conflicts. I emailed the hiring partner of the first firm (the one I am returning to) to ask if I could clerk the second half of the summer instead, so that I could work both clerkships. It ended up being a non-issue, as I got scheduling at the second firm worked out. But did I fuck up my chances of a job offer by sending that email asking to move my clerkship? Or am I just in the throes of finals and looking for something else to make myself sick about? I REALLY want to work for this firm; not so much for the second firm I'll be working with.
Also, any tips on what I can do to make me more attractive for a job offer at this firm? Especially if I did royally screw myself. Thanks in advance.
