immigration attorney salary - Houston, TX
PostMon May 09, 2016 4:30 am
I am a foreign lawyer and recently passed NY bar. I currently live in Houston and am planning to apply to immigration firms in Houston. I am not eligible to take TX bar yet. I worked in a big corporate law firm in my home country and honestly I didn't like it and surely cannot survive that environment. I also do know that it would be difficult to get into a corporate firm in US unless you have contacts etc..
So I decided on applying to immigration firms and hoping to find a job. But I heard that the salaries are too low though the working hours are not that rigorous like a corporate firm ($40000 or so). can someone please give me an insight on what salary to expect in a small or mid-sized immigration law firm??
Any information about immigration practice would be helpful. Thanks.
