What's out there in Boston?

For someone coming off a clerkship (after coming straight through from law school), interested in litigation, and committed to the Boston area (at least for the short term), is a private law firm the only reasonable option? My understanding is that the USAO in Boston only hires experienced litigators. ADA/PD are tough to get and pay even less in Boston than elsewhere. And neither the Mass. AG's office nor usajobs.com seems to have any job openings for wanna-be litigators with no non-clerkship experience. Are there public sector options in Boston that I'm missing?

Bump. Too general of a question? Too obvious? (If the latter, a few links to search through would be much appreciated -- maybe I'm terrible at researching options, but I've been trying and haven't found much.)

Mass ag's office has an honors program. Believe they'll take you out of a clerkship. Know that this is pretty competitive. I snagged multiple honors program interviews in DC but did even get a first round here.
DoL might hire one person a year for their mass field office. NOAA sometimes takes a person for an office up here. You are correct about the usao. You need at least four years and really more like 6.
Hope that helps; happy to answer any other questions.
