My partner wants to move to New York for career reasons after my clerkship. I know about The New York City Law Department (and will apply), wondering what else is out there. Grades won't be an issue. Not interested in crim. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Impact litigation, especially consumer protection, civil rights and labor law (not sure if labor law impact litigation exists).

For impact orgs, those generally don't have entry-level positions, right? That's more "come up with a program and apply for a fellowship"?

Entry-level impact lit isn't impossible to find, but it's very hard. Fellowships are way more likely.

Bronx PD also hires some entry level. (edit: just saw OP doesn't want criminal, woops)

Post-clerkship isn't exactly entry-level. Apply to all openings

This is true. Between a clerkship + clinical experience + pre-law school experience, I landed my dream job 1 year out where the initial posting said minimum 3-5 years experience. Not in NYC, but still taught me that it can pay to apply even when you don't meet the listed qualifications.

This is good to know, thanks.

Not OP, but I'm in a similar position, looking for work in the field of first amendment and/or privacy litigation. Have been all over USAJOBS to no avail.

Plaintiff-side? USAJobs will only have defensive work, and that will be scattered throughout the DOJ/USAOs to the point where you can't really say there is one place to do it at
