What's the damage so far this summer?

I'm not trying to get no-offered for off-brand suspenders for my dress socks, or, God forbid, socks that aren't pulled up all the way.
I've been eyeing these for a while: http://www.qmuniforms.com/lawpro-shirt- ... yNvTmPtH7Y

Allegedly it's what all the "law pros" use. Haven't pulled the trigger, however, because I'm waiting to get a feel for if my firm is more of a shirt stay or sock garter type of place. Wouldn't want to make that mistake...
With reviews ranging from "HORRIBLE" to "DON'T BY [sic] THIS PRODUCT", you know you're on the path to glory.

Man Brooks Brothers in house tailors are awful. Finally got around to taking my suits to a real tailor, and apparently I went through interviews/barristers/firm receptions with pants that were almost an inch shorter on the left leg. The tailor cracked up, and asked me why I have suit pants made for a handicapped person in his thick Vietnamese accent. Idk how I didn't notice but I'm glad I woke up my ass to drop them off before I start work

For those working in LA, where are you planning on living?

Got an airbnb on the border of beverlywood and pico-robertson. I'm working in century city though. Probably would live in downtown if that's where I was working.

Question for dudes - What type of collar are you guys snagging for shirts? Picked up some BB spread collar shirts, but now I'm thinking button-downs might've been better. (spread have always felt awkward without tie, but maybe that's just me)

Going to a biz-cas spot btw.

Probably a spread collar.

Probably a point collar.

Probably a button down collar.

Edit: Damn, you fixed it in time. In all seriousness, I prefer spread collars.

I just flip a coin every time I purchase a shirt. This is also how I decided red pill tie or blue pill tie in the Matrix for OCI.

Eh, depends on the shirt. They're all acceptable w/o ties besides the true cutaway (aka "extreme spread") or band collars, which are stupid. I like button downs if I know I'll never wear a tie, but they look hella tacky with a suit and tie, so they're somewhat limited. I generally prefer point collars, but spreads can be chill too. You'll be fine either way.

Anon here. Yeah I'm a rookie poster. Performed on this thread like OKC performed tonight.

Yeah I guess I'll just stick with spread. If anything, its the most versatile cuz I feel comfortable throwing them on with a suit. Not sure how not to look like a jackass with the top button undone though.

Yeah I don't fuk with french cuffs. The only place I might go a slightly aggressive is shoes (think dark chili in the rotation and also maybe some more formal bulchers). Ya boi knows limits.

Columbia has a subletting site that's pretty good. A lot of them are students subletting uptown by the campus, but there are also some listings further downtown
