Hi all, I have a technical question that I don't seem to find a positive answer anywhere( including CSO)


I'm on conditional permanent residence( valid greencard holder for two years, and condition removable after two years to permanent residence).

I'm trying to apply for federal clerkships: I will be graduating 10% T14( hope hope) in 2017. The requirement on OSCAR requires U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)(B) status ( basically permanent residence).

I'm wondering if I have to wait two years to apply for federal clerkship; or my status( conditional permanent residence) right now will suffice.

Alternatively, if I can apply for clerkship starting from 2018 ( by that point I will be on permanent residence) at this point, with full disclosure of my status.

I thought the issue there wasn't so much being a permanent resident as much as actively pursuing naturalization? I don't know whether you can apply to naturalize on conditional status, but that seems to be what OSCAR's referring to - not just a LPR but an LPR pursuing citizenship. (I'm sorry that I have no more specific information to offer though.)
