ex-Biglaw Associate - No action - What to do?

I am an ex-biglaw corporate associate with around two years experience. I was laid off a month back but had been looking to lateral since December 2015. I have had a good deal of callbacks over the past three months but have not been fortunate enough to secure an offer. I am losing hope on securing any biglaw offers at this point and have had no love from small/midlaw firms. Where does one go from here? I have no debt and no wife or kids but am sort of stuck on what the hell to do. I have also applied for tax positions at big 4 firms and have struck out like a mofo.

Should I just kick it as a bartender or am I missing any other possible options for someone in my situation?

Thanks

Have you tried applying for in-house positions? Two years is probably a little early, but it couldn't hurt to take a look.

What do you think is happening at the callbacks that you aren't getting the offer? You are getting interviews which is a strong positive for you. Maybe you need to practice explaining why you are looking for a job or anything else that might make your interview not go as smoothly as possible?

you need to hustle really hard right now. apply to govt, in house, and midlaw / other cities in the state etc. youre marketability gets exponentially worse after a few months of nothing.

The reasons for the no offers has varied. Rather it be the firm had a candidate they preferred more to a firm finding my law school grades to be too low. I would like to transition into compliance at a big bank, but again have had no luck on that front.

I doubt the no-offers are due to low grades, seems like it would be a waste of time to interview you if that were the case
