Start legal career in Chicago or Minneapolis?

I'm currently at school in Chicago and am trying to figure out my best options for OCI and beyond.
I know I ultimately want to be in Mpls and would be happy to head there immediately after graduation. However, I also love Chicago, wouldn't mind staying here for awhile, and think I would have a good chance of paying loans off faster given the higher salary in Chicago biglaw.
But I'm concerned about difficulty of lateraling from Chicago to Minneapolis since the market is (rumored to be) so insular.
Does anyone have any insight on this? Trying to be semi-vague because I could easily out myself so if you're open to PM, let me know.

I would do some research on the biglaw firms that exist in Minneapolis. I've heard pretty bad things about everything in the market. I think there are some TLS threads that go into MPLS biglaw.
Edit:

Thanks; I've scoured TLS like crazy about Mpls biglaw so I think I've read them all. And yea, reviews aren't great which definitely is a concern too -- but I know I do want to be in Mpls ultimately (though not necessarily in biglaw) so I'm trying to get a feel for what might be the most valuable path to take.... Pretty broad question, I know.
Edit: Yep, definitely read that one - thanks for the link though.
