Do people generally start working immediately after taking the bar, or do you generally have some time off until you know if you passed? I have no idea when firms generally want their incoming associates to start working.

Anyone go on any awesome trips after they took the test?

Most people don't start until a month, maybe two, after taking the exam.

Most of those people take exotic trips to celebrate being done with the bar and in anticipation of the future that awaits them in BigLaw.

I started work a week after taking the exam. I looked out my window a few times that week, and that was my exotic trip.

i started in September before i knew I passed, and thankfully I passed. I think the norm is people begin working before results. I also went to disney for 2 weeks with my girlfriend.

you usually start before results..once you take the bar, forget about it..go on a trip. you should start work feeling refreshed and energized. I did a 2 week trip to europe, hiking and biking, and started work a few days later. got positive bar results months later.

especially if you are heading to biglaw, financial aspect won't be an issue. plan a fun trip and then buckle down studying.
