Any tips or advice on how these things go? Current COA clerk with significant trial experience before clerking. Upper T-14 law school. I don't think I can give any more details than that without outing myself.

It depends on the office. I have interviewed at two, both major markets. The first one was very similar to a DA's office interview. I had to give an opening statement and answer some tough ethical questions. The second one was like all of the other fed govt interviews I've had - laid back, more focus on me talking about my experience and why I want to be an AUSA. The best tip I can give is to find someone who has worked in that office. I knew judges who had worked at both offices, and they gave me insider tips on what to expect and did practice interviews with me.

How many years were you an ADA before you got the clerkship?
