I know MBB does but I am interested in other management consulting firms. Trying to see if people have had any inputs on this.

Thinking like Accenture Strategy, Delotte S&O , Strategy &, Parthenon, AT Kearney.

I looked into this once but I couldn't find any explicit recruitment outside MBB. For the most part, I would have been MBB or bust though so I didn't try too hard. Have you tried looking at LinkedIn for any of your law school alumni in these firms and reaching out to them?

Anyone look at MBB while you have an offer at your summer firm? Starting to re-think practicing and would like to consider MBB or non-legal jobs. Aside from likely being blacklisted by the firm and/or bar, i'm not too concerned with that.

You come in at a higher salary level and title. For example instead of ~85k Salary at say Mckinsey, you are looking at ~145k.

Some places will recruit you at an undergrad level. It's tiered hiring. Very similar to the analyst/associate split at I-banks.

As a 3L or as a 2L? I plan on looking this summer while I am summering but its a different situation if you are trying to apply as a 3L right now. Also I'm pretty sure most classes are already full this late into the process for fulltime.

All consulting firms recruit JDs as associates and not analysts. They come in with the MBAs. I think that's what you mean.

At HLS, MBB come to OCI.

For firms that don't have a formal pipeline for JD hires, I imagine a lot of it would be ad hoc based on your previous experience. At my previous consulting firm, we had a lawyer (who had practiced for a few years) come in at post-undergrad level in my group, which I thought was a bit strange. My group didn't have any direct JD hires but the tax group had some, and I think they came in at the same level as the MBAs. I was already one promotion past the standard post-MBA hire level when I left for law school in my early 30s, so I doubt they would have demoted me had I decided to return.

Technically, only M and BCG come to HLS.
