They lost six more partners yesterday and today. Any insider news on what's going on?
A strong caution to their upcoming summer associates.

I work at the firm that got Giuliani. The word is we're planning on taking a lot more partners from them. Supposedly morale at Bracewell is at an all-time low...
1L's - avoid Bracewell like the plague at OCI.

They're pretty highly leveraged which means that even a small number of partner defections is gonna be way worse than any other firm in their revenue bracket. On the one hand their PPP is way better than what you'd usually see in their income range (but see again the leverage), on the other hand GT has about equivalent PPP so it's not per se a crazy/desperate move to defect there.

Yes, but only because they turned me down for a 1L SA.

They lost another partner today. They've lost about a dozen in the last three weeks since Rudy left.

Inaccurate. NY Bracewell has lost no more than 4 partners total to GT, including Giuliani, after his departure.

About a dozen is definitely correct for the firm as a whole. Most of their latest defections have happened in their Texas offices.

Giuliani built his entire career piggybacking on Bracewell's popularity. All the firm needs to pick itself back up is drop Giuliani's dead weight and rely on the Bracewell brand name.

That's a bold move there. You may be right but I didn't know that he depended on Bracewell to attain his political positions as well.
Would like to know more if possible.

Bracewell helped him take down the mafia, be appointed SDNY USA, win election as Mayor and clean up NYC. YUGE.

Lol, a lot of butthurt Bracewell summers ITT.
I understand the need to defend your firm, but if you see that the Bracewell ship is sinking you better start looking for other options.

Bracewell hosted Saturday Night Live. Giuliani could barely get 20 people to turn out to a capital markets symposium.
