Basics of working with recruiters/lateraling

I'm a second year associate at a mid-size NYC firm. I have decided that i want to go somewhere else (not happy with the people I'm working for anymore). I got in touch with a recruiter, and have a few leads at other firms in NYC. However, I'm also interested in exploring opportunities in Seattle for personal reasons. Should I mention this to my recruiter? I'm worried that she may only work in the NY market, and will be less inclined to help me if she knows I'm looking at another market. I'm also not sure if it would be wise for me to contact a recruiter who works with the Seattle market at this point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Your NY recruiter isn't going to be helpful in Seattle.
