Hypo: I work in large firm patent pros as a jr assoc

For every app, I draft some claims and then outsource the actual drafting to some chinese kid for $10-15/hour

I review it when it comes back a couple days later, fix it up for 30 minutes and bill my 20 hours or whatever

I do OAs myself



Result?

Hypothesis: I now work at a lifestyle firm, working 3 hours per day doing OAs, make $150k minus $15k paid to the chinese kid = $135k net, and partnership track because my hours and budgets are fantastic and I'm free to spend all my time on biz dev

result: 1) possibly ending up in jail for breaking one or more export control laws and 2) possibly being disbarred for sharing your clients' confidential information with an unauthorized third party and for fraud (i.e., leading your client to believe your firm drafted the application when someone else really did).

Amazingly this is not the first time this has been suggested on TLS
