Self-Treating/Self-Diagnosis in Big Law

So I've been sick for a few days, and the symptoms have progressively been getting worse. Others on the teams are sick as well, which I think combined with too many consecutive weeks of not enough sleep is how I got sick. Aside from Tylenol and Nyquil, what remedies do people in this position use that don't require a prescription? Seeing a doctor isn't an option for at least a few weeks, and I've noticed my work product has dropped off because I have always relied too much on being sharp, which I now realize is contingent on taking fairly good care of yourself and this isn't always going to be possible.

You take a day or two off to rest and recover. Its a simple question with a simple answer. A sick, broken down associate whose work quality is falling off is no use at all. Everyone is better off if you take a day to recover a bit and come back stronger and more focused.

Hey try to have a doctor visit you at your place of work or at home. Use
https://pager.com/ or something similar. I'm pretty sure its worth whatever they charge if they can meet with you at 11 pm right when you get home (apparently pager's first time fee is only $50).

Yes. And no one wants you at work to get others sick, either.
If you're really sick, you go to the doctor.

You can go to an online site like Virtuwell, run by HealthPartners (they're reputable if you've never heard of them), where you can tell them what your symptoms are and whatnot and then they'll try to diagnose you and likely give you meds. You never have to leave your office, and can even get antibiotics if you have a bacterial infection. It shouldn't take more than an hour to diagnose. And they have pretty good support staff if what they diagnosed you with is incorrect. If it's something too serious to be treated with meds, then they'll tell you to go in, but won't charge you anything (iirc).

Seems like most biglaw associates just starting out have this highly over-inflated sense of their own importance and necessity (I was the same way my first year). I don't mean to say they are arrogant or anything like that. Its just that they adopt this attitude where they feel like, if they are gone for a day, or if they leave a few hours early on a Friday, that the case (or the firm) will all but collapse and fall apart. So you have people staying in the office even when they are clearly sick, broken down, and in need of some rest and recovery. It shouldn't be a question that, when sick and broken down, you take a day off to rest, recover, see the doctor, etc.

I'm not inflating my importance, and getting others sick isn't a concern. We're all sick, which is how I got sick. I'm pretty sure my supervisor is dying. I don't want to be the only one to blink.

If you are sick then you take a day off to recover and see how you feel after that. You are an adult, and this a simple question.
