a few q's:
what do you want (out of your job, out of life, etc.)?
why do you want to leave your current job?
why do you want biglaw (as opposed to mid/small law or gov)?
can you use a law degree to enhance your current career? can you use one to obtain a better position/career in gov?
why not go PT while working your current job and use your gov connections to transition to a legal career in gov post-graduation?

I thought the OP already had a law degree and was asking whether they should go to biglaw from their current legal job. Though I could be wrong.

ah yeah i think you're right. i read "have the opportunity to go" as go to law school but now that i re-read the OP they likely meant opportunity to transition from govlaw to biglaw. i clearly have not had enough coffee yet

Honestly, DF's analysis is on point. I wouldn't do it if I were you. He hasn't been on Halo in a few days.

I think the only right answer is to get a hobby. Life is too short to spend all of your time working. Plus do you want to get prematurely old and fat? There are lots of these types in biglaw because few exercise and there's no time to eat properly/take care of yourself. You only have one youth - treasure it.
