Other than the basics and that it's a UK-based firm, does anyone have any thoughts, opinions, or intel on
ashurst llp?

Check out RollOnFriday. It's like the UK Vault and AboveTheLaw and TLS rolled into one. There will be extensive info there.

It is not Magic Circle. It is well-regarded, but not considered an elite firm. I've occasionally worked across them in Asia and they do good work. If you are considering an offer with them I imagine you would get the training you need to have a successful career.
