I was at a big firm and left to clerk. I was already being moved to do more briefing and appeals before I left. I've been asked to go back and I'm subtly trying to get them to say I can work from home except for the few days they need to me meet with someone or go to court or something.

I'd be at a smaller satellite office where I'd only work for one guy that's in the same office, and some others in other offices, so I think they'll be receptive.

Wish me luck. My wife just got a killer job about 2 hours away (eg Austin to San Antonio) so the commute for at least one of us would be utter shit.

I tried it for nearly 2 weeks, now I work from home about once a week. I get staffed on much better cases when I show up.

I actually think it is doable (if your firm is down with it). I have been working exclusively from home for several months now and don't see any difference in the work I am getting as compared to when I was in the office. I would need to get on a plane to go to the office, so doing it every day is not really an option anyways.
