For those of us that struck out at OCIs and are looking to the future what should the next course of action be? I know smaller and midsize firms hire later in the process than that of biglaw. Currently I have a paid internship with a Fortune 500 (top 50) company for the summer, but I am not sure if I should just stick with this and improve grades for 3L oci or if i should be massmailing midsize firms (although Im not sure the best route to find them) or wait for spring OCI.Additionally, Ive looked into BIG 4 as I am mildly interested in tax but my school did not have any of them listed on symplicity. I applied online and talked to a few recruiters on my own to no avail. FWIW Top 20% at TT transfer to a T30.

TLDR: Have In house gig for 2l summer, search for midsize firms or stick with in house gig. Stats top 20% TT transfer to T30

Idk the answer, but the answer is definitely not spring OCI. I at to a tippy toppy school as far as biglaw employment goes and no one gets anything from spring OCI (actually, maybe 1-2 entire school).

If I were you, my approach would be to find a job with a small- to mid-sized firm that may possibly hire you after graduation.

Apply to everything you can find. Hit up connections and ask for coffee dates to ask about their career path. Ask alumni about jobs if you're familiar enough with them.
