Best state to take UBE

I decided to take the UBE in another state, and just transfer my score to NY when they adopt it. How is that idea? (I don't currently have a job lined up, I just need a bar from somewhere so I can start applying in DC).

Which state should I take the UBE in?
Considerations: I want it to be easy, I want to get a score back fast so I can start applying in DC as soon as possible, I also want to have a good secondary market as an added bonus, I don't want to have to take an additional state law supplemental exam (if it is just a seminar without an exam that is fine, just nothing I have to study and work hard for).

My career goals are government, plaintiff-side firms (environment, class actions, etc), policy and research/academia.

I need to figure this out in the next few days or so because I have to register before some deadlines end.

This needs to be moved to the bar exam thread.

Your concerns should be travel distance & ease of C&F for the bar where you sit. Since you're targeting New York, consider sitting for the UBE in New Hampshire, as I'll assume that New Hampshire is close to your current location.

Are you sure that New York will accept an UBE score before it formally switches over to the UBE ?

Also, several UBE jurisdictions require a state law seminar so make sure that you are prepared to stay a few extra days.

If you have any other UBE related questions, feel free to PM me & I'll do my best to help.
