Accepted an offer after SA in a V100 firm in a secondary market office, want to go to their NY office instead for corp work. Any advice on the best way to do this?

Not likely. A partner vouched for you in order for you to join their team. I dont think its a good idea to bring it up unless you have a really compelling reason.

OP here. Even if if it's in the same practice area? Anyone have any experience transferring? Either before full time employment or a couple years after working at original firm?

Maybe after a year or two after actually start working as a full-time associate, you can consider switching to the NY office if there is the same practice group AND an opening available. I think you'd need a better reason than simply wanting to do the corp work there, i.e. wife/husband just moved to that city.
Lot's of firms allow transfers to other offices (not really entry level), but I've generally heard of this happening from NYC to other markets, not as much from other markets to NYC. It can happen, and probably does, but I just don't know if it's as common as the other way around.
Work there for a few months than tell HR or whomever that you're hoping for a transfer, and make up a more compelling reason than just liking NYC more. Process will probably take a bit, and longer they are on notice you are looking for transfer more likely you'll end up getting one.
