Does 2L SA Vault ranking affect chances at 3L OCI (massmailing etc)

I'm a transfer to a mid-level T20 (Vandy/UCLA/UT - So no GPA yet - Will have GPA by time 3L OCI rolls around.)
Got V10, V50, and V100 offers.
I prefer the V100 over the other 2. But if I decide to go through 3L OCI and do the whole massmailing thing, will the ranking/prestige of the firm I choose for my 2L summer have any impact on chances during massmailing for 3L to move up?
Or is it all about grades + what specific practice area I want to practice in + interviewing skills.?
Cheers

The real questions is, why do you assume you'll want to do 3L OCI? 3L recruiting is only for people who want to change city, want a different practice area than their offer/hate their firm or got no/cold offered. The first is entirely subjective, and the rest are highly unlikely.
Go to the firm you like best and would want to build a career with; forget 3L OCI.

Not OP, but I'm going to try to change cities via 3L OCI. Does it matter what firm I choose in that case?

If you were trying to change to a city you didn't get an offer at as a 2L, and you had NY offers at somewhere like Fried Frank and firms like Simpson Thacher or Cravath, then the more immediate industry recognition of the latter firms would probably help with 3L/lateral recruiting. Even better, choose a firm with an active office in the market you're targeting.

OP here - I'm not assuming anything, but I am into contingency planning. I said "if I do 3L OCI," not "when I do 3L OCI." I don't want to be left with an offer with a firm I don't like, even though I'm going with the firm I like the most based off the callback interview. A lot can change in a year and I don't want to be in a situation where I'm unable to move firms if I want to.

Why not split between two firms if you're really antsy pantsy?

They all begin at the same time, can't split.

I understand; my honest answer is, the vault ranking of the respective firms won't matter for the purposes of switching as a 3L so long as both firms are generally well regarded in your practice area of interest. Vault tends to be a terrible guide for that sort of inquiry.

Hope I'm not beating a dead horse, but have you asked them if it's possible?
Otherwise, IMO, just choose the firm you like better.

I guess you're not at UT because there isn't really a 3L OCI to speak of. I'd be kinda surprised if those other schools had a 3L OCI but maybe. I'd be surprised if 3L mass mailing is much of a thing either.
I'd just choose whatever you like the most and roll with that and feel good about that decision. Life doesn't have to be (and shouldn't be, IMO) all about focusing on transferring up all the time.
