Not patent bar eligible -- can I have a career in IP litigation?
I'm not patent bar eligible, but my firm wants me to spend most of my time this summer (and presumably as new associate) on patent litigation. Can I build a career in IP? Or should I try and switch out to something else early in my career?

tech background helps with exit options, but you can shitigate patents all you want in district court (and before the ITC) without a reg. number

Probably not, given the rapid shrinkage of the IP lit market. But even if you could, why would you want to? (No exit options, no transferable skills, dim partnership prospects, and a dying patent lit market.)
