How does one get an in-house job at GS or JP Morgan? What would the pay/hours look like?

I know the 0L rule...but I'm confusedAnonymous User wrote:Nothing in particular about these 2. What would the pay/hours look like for an in-house position at one of these 2?
Damn, that sounds fucking horrible. I'd go with some chill f500 company - people are generally out by 6.legends159 wrote:Pay is below biglaw and depends on your year. Hours are slightly better than biglaw but not by much. Those places are basically like midlaw firms. People looking to lateral inhouse typically aim for an AGC position at a company or PE/HF but will settle for a bank if they're really unhappy.
One of the main benefits to going in house is not having to record your billables. Generally if you are making 200k+ in any career, it's unlikely you'll be working a typical 9-5 or 9-6 job (obviously not true everywhere, but generally I would say average would be 10-11 hours a day). The difference is you aren't going to be dividing up your day into 6 minute increments, which drives some people crazy.BizBro wrote:Damn, that sounds fucking horrible.
