I’m a 2L at a T60 and I spent my 1L summer at a small shitlaw firm where I mostly did menial tasks and received no feedback whatsoever on the legal work that I did do.

I ended up getting an awesome corporate legal internship lined up for next summer (I’m the only one not from a T14) but I don’t feel prepared at all.

I feel like I learned nothing my first summer, I’ve forgotten all the Bluebook stuff I learned in LRW, and I didn’t do the secondary journal I was invited to join (wasn’t even planning on practicing until this internship came up).

Is this a normal feeling going into 2L SA or am I screwed?

You'll be fine. No one else will know what they're doing either. Celebrate getting a job.

Seriously don't fret. No one knows what they're doing. Fake it til you make it.

Why are you choosing to stress about this 8 months early?

If you are at a big firm with a large summer class they have very low expectations for their summers. Don't stress, especially 8 months before you would start

Think about all of the kids who RA their 1L summer. What did they learn about working at a law firm?

Point not being that future 1Ls should not RA over the summer, point being that nobody learns anything about working in Biglaw until you do it.
