What type of events have SAs been invited to? Best/worst experiences?

This one event really sticks out:
One of the attorneys told me I couldn't come to the event without a costume and a mask. So I had to go to this costume store late at night and deal with this crazy Russian store owner to get a mask and cloak. Luckily I found one in just enough time, because the party was at a mansion way out in the country side. The attorney also told me I needed to give a password at the door, which seemed odd, but I did my best to remember it by the time I got there. The cab pulls up and I tell the person at the door, "Fidelio" and he escorts me to the grand ballroom. The craziest part was there were already a bunch of hooded figures kneeling in a circle around a high priest in a red cloak. They proceeded to engage in this semi-religious/sexual ritual and then all broke off to have sex with hookers. One of the hookers took me aside and said I shouldn't be there, but it was still pretty cool in my book.

haha @ above. But it depends on your firm & city.. I think normal events include: baseball games, fancy dinners, maybe a concert/comedy show/boat ride.

Has anyone here been part of a small summer class (2-4, regional biglaw)? How does that affect events, aside from making them more focused on interacting with attorneys?

I was at a smaller firm with 3 SAs. The firm was started though by partners breaking off from a larger firm so I think they tried to have similar summer activities. We did a comedy club event, a baseball game, bowling, a firm retreat, stuff that most places do. One time one of the partners took the summers to a shooting range which might be an event that wouldn't happen at larger places but I'm speculating.

OP was this an elaborate ploy to ask if you should expect to go to Italy this summer?

Proskauer has good events. Tony Awards were dope. NBA Draft was cool too.
