Is there any point to mass mailing NYC big law firms this late in the process?

You may be able to pick up screeners/callbacks from firms that didn't get their ideal yield--it's definitely possible. It's better to massmail than strikeout. Good luck, OP!Anonymous User wrote:Is there any point to mass mailing NYC big law firms this late in the process?
This. There's nothing else more important right now than hustling.sesto elemento wrote:Less thinking more massmailing
I would never abstain from applying to a firm (or judge) based on some random person on TLS telling you "this firm is done."lawman84 wrote:Anyone know which firms are still interviewing?(or alternatively, are definitely not still interviewing?)
I've finished my mass mailing. Thought it might be helpful for others if they knew what firms are interviewing.runinthefront wrote:I would never abstain from applying to a firm (or judge) based on some random person on TLS telling you "this firm is done."lawman84 wrote:Anyone know which firms are still interviewing?(or alternatively, are definitely not still interviewing?)
I would just blanket NYC, starting with the v100 (since they tend to have the largest classes)
Set your alarm for 7:30am and send them Monday morning. Even if a firm is "done" hiring, any firm with a big class will consider adding someone if the person is appealing. What difference does it make to the firm if the summer class is 48 or 49? The main thing is to continue sending out, following up, expressing interest, sending updated resume (if anything changes). You will get many many rejections or radio silence, but don't let it deter you.Anonymous User wrote:OP here: Appreciate the feedback. Was still going to send the mass mails out, but just was interested in seeing if it would be fruitless and I can see that there is still a possibility. I have like 50 drafts that I was going to send on Monday…I should definitely wait til tomorrow morning right and not send them on the weekend?
Very brief CL in the body of the email worked great for me.Anonymous User wrote:When you mass mail, do you just send them a resume and transcript? Or should I also write a cover letter? I've been sending cover letters but they take too long and I don't even think they read them..
apply online. Why would it matter whether it's an automated message or not?Anonymous User wrote:Sent out a bunch this morning and about 1/3 responded to apply online, do I apply online or this an automated message
