Conflict of Interest

What conflicts of interest would disqualify me from employment at my summer firm? Currently working part time at a small litigation firm, handling mostly small/mid size clients.. Although my direct involvement is reasearch and basic drafting, also we are not adverse to the firm on any of the cases... What would potentially disqualify me?

Also interested in this. I worked in-house where the firm i'm looking at was on the other side of some deals, but nothing I had anything to do with. Obviously reaching out to the firm as well, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this.

These checks won't ever disqualify you from employment. You'll just be walled off certain matters. It's not like the firm only has one case and if you can't work on that case you're useless.

I think that's too strong of a statement. The checks almost certainly wouldn't be disqualifying in the OP's case, but I have a friend who applied to a big law firm post-clerkship (after having worked at another firm for two years), got an offer, and then had the offer rescinded because of a conflicts issue.
