Seeking Advice: Davis Polk v. Sullivan & Cromwell (NY)

I am trying to decide between DPW and S&C in NY for corporate work. I have really enjoyed meeting the attorneys from both places, and have heard from all sources that they are peer firms in almost every regard. My "gut" reaction from both firms is that I could see myself working at each one.
To those of you who in the past may have been in a similar situation of deciding between the two firms, what were the factors that informed your ultimate decision to go to that particular firm?
To attorneys in this forum that may have worked in either of these places, any insights that you may want to share about working there would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

These are probably the most substantively similar firms in NYC - MS/DPW and GS/S&C are the definition of institutional clients, both excel at everything they do but focus on the same types of work, both are super stable and ~prestigious~ etc.
They have very different reputations and cultures though, and I think there's truth underlying the stereotypes at both places.
Financial district or midtown might be the most significant difference if you've kep your eyes open and liked the people at both...

I chose DPW over S&C a while back for personality/culture reasons, as with many/most of DPW's summer class. I think people headed to one firm might be looking for a different kind of vibe from the other. The work these firms do is extraordinarily sinilar, but if you've visited both places and can't form a definitive, distinct impression of each, you need to go on second looks.
Both places will work you into the ground, but S&C does so with less grace and empathy. Both are very prestigious, but S&C seems more concerned with it. Idk. Both great firms, if you like the S&C vibe go with it, if you liked the folks at DPW head there.

OP -
Thank you. Just curious if anyone has thoughts about the "generalist" training at S&C v. the rotational system at DPW and which you think would be more advantageous to young associates.
