Primarily interested in litigation and FCPA work, but also looking to learn more about how the corporate side of things operates. Somewhat concerned, though, about what exit options for litigators look like down the road.

Leaning GDC, but just curious if anyone had any additional insights.

Summered at one of the above three last year, and had friends at one of the others. I'd take Gibson basically unless you live/breathe antitrust, in which case Cleary.

Know basically nothing about S&C DC, and there's probably a reason for that.

S&C is a new office I think. From what I gather they're trying to sell an appellate practice.

Anyway, concur with above poster at least re: rep in DC. Gibson wins this.

Edit: But go where you fit the most. All are good firms.

Not OP but dealing with a semi-similar decision. How many litigation opportunities are available at Cleary DC that aren't antitrust?

I would not go to that office looking for non-antitrust lit. Let me put it this way. Read the short-version bios on this list: http://www.cgsh.com/lawyers/List.aspx?O ... el=5&p=all

Outside of antitrust, there's some securities work, some enforcement/sanctions/investigations, and bank regulatory. Lots of cool stuff but not a commercial lit focused office

I Summered there, Cleary is excellent for antitrust (don't think GDC has much antitrust work in DC), but "general" litigation doesn't really exist there. There are some smaller practices that have a litigation vibe though, including some of the "international" work (i.e. representing Argentina in fights with creditors in US courts). If antitrust is not interesting to you and you want litigation I would probably go to GDC.
