should one just take some Advil and tough it out? Is it better to call and reschedule? I'm feeling a bit under the weather and I'm hoping I'll feel better for my callback tomorrow but if not I want to know what the protocol is.

No personal experience with this and grain of salt or whatever but personally I would try to tough it out if possible.

There is no harm in calling up the recruiting office and seeing if they can push you back a day or two. You don't want to be interviewing for 2 hours while sick and uncomfortable and the firm certainly doesn't want you coming in and getting others sick. I can't imagine it would be an issue.

Could a firm sue for negligent economic losses whereupon you knowingly went in and infected them with sickness, thereby preventing them from billing $1K a hour?

All joking aside, my personal feeling is that asking these busy partners to reschedule on a dime's notice will look very, very bad. These aren't people whose schedules are just flexible here and there. And you'll be completely rewriting the schedules of a half-dozen firm partners/associates - causing shifts in workflow and client meetings and etc that are difficult to anticipate.

"A bit under the weather" = go.

If you're visibly ill then it's a tougher call but honestly, if I interviewed someone and it seemed like they were going to get me sick, I would be pissed and hold it against them.
